Chenango Valley Showcases Talents in 'Odyssey of the Mind'
Four teams represented Chenango Valley Central School District at the 2019 Region 12 Odyssey of the Mind tournament. The talents and hard work of our students, and their coaches, shined during the event held at Broome-Tioga BOCES on March 9. 

The primary team was made up of Joseph Dundon III, Madelyn Durham, Liam Ramsay-Hopkins, Evan McCall, Avery Osibote, Gabriel Steinberg and Penelope Stiles, and coached by Rachael Steinberg. The group took part in "Primary Problem: Museum Makers.” These young Warriors showed wonderful creativity skills!

Our second team was made up of Abigail Cron, Aurora Heard, Ava Jessup, Eleanor Kruser, Natalie Lamando, Emilie Moulton and Bianca Tuttle, and was coached by Kristine Jessup. The group competed in “Leonardo's Workshop” (Division I) and placed third! Awesome job, Warriors!

Our third team was made up of Samuel Brewer, Austin Greenmun, Grady Heard, Courtney McCabe, Arin Miller, Rhapsody Moss and Abigail Randis, and coached by Jen Greenmun and Amanda Randis. They competed in the problem “Leonardo's Workshop” (Division II) and placed fourth! Way to go!

Our fourth team was made up of Sadie Dutcher, Savannah Greenmun, Dylan McCabe, Ethan Randis, Merrell Rouff, Jenna Schaefer and Khammaneh Weather, and coached by Cathi McCabe. They competed in the problem “OMER to the Rescue Again” (Division II) and placed second! The team qualified to compete in the state-level Odyssey of the Mind competition at Binghamton University on March 23. Great job, Warriors!

The district is very proud of our Odyssey team members and coaches for their commitment and dedication that is continuously showcased in this annual competition. Thank you to all who make this possible for our students, including Chenango Valley administrators, CV Board of Education members and parents/guardians. Also, a BIG thank you to the coaches who volunteer their time to help our students learn and grow, and provide fun memories along the way!
