Chenango Bridge Elementary students recently took part in an assembly focused on the power of positive peer relationships, respect and compassion. Mr. Joe Trionfero led a “Show of Love” character education assembly at the elementary school on Valentine’s Day.
This program helped to teach students empathy, responsibility and communication skills through interactive, engaging and entertaining activities. These activities included having staff and students name songs about what it means to be a hero and/or leader, and students speaking in front of their peers about times they witnessed someone helping another person.
“Giving help that offers hope is the most important thing,” Mr. Trionfero told students during the assembly.
