'Warriors Learners' Focuses on 'Coaching in the Classroom'
Thank you to Chenango Valley Director of Pupil Services Mr. Brad Tomm for leading a great "Warrior Learners" session on "Coaching in the Classroom" on February 11. The workshop examined coaching takeaways for teachers, reviewed current coaching models and discussed connections that can crossover into the classroom to get to the spirit and heart, and help students to succeed.

Participants also took part in an interactive activity called "Barnyard Animals" in the Chenango Valley Middle School gymnasium. They had to use teamwork to find members of their group.

Mr. Tomm reminded participants that "What you do on a daily basis is what makes change happen."

In closure, he asked participants to think of their why, what they are going to do, and how they are going to do it.

The goal of these monthly workshops is to help provide various support and mentorship resources for Chenango Valley Central School District teachers, especially those who are newer to the district.
