Congratulations to Olivia Bochenek, who New York State Senator Fred Akshar recognized as an “Akshar All-Star” recipient on October 23.
Members of Olivia’s family, Chenango Valley staff, and Senator Akshar surprised Olivia while she was in math class. As Olivia saw familiar faces enter the room, she was first shocked and then honored to learn about her recognition.
Olivia, who is active in multiple academic programs and extracurricular activities, was nominated for her overall attitude, perseverance, and willingness to take on any challenge.
