Former Broome Dusters hockey player Max Hansen visited Chenango Valley High School on October 30. Mr. Hansen discussed his hockey career and other related topics with students in Mr. Tidick’s Current Events & Local History class and students in one of Mr. Lewis's science classes.
Mr. Tidick’s class has been studying the Dusters. The class has also been watching the WSKG film, “The Dusters,” produced by Brian Frey.
Students asked Mr. Hansen questions about topics including if he had any superstitions while playing, other careers that he has held in addition to hockey, and how he balanced hockey with the other responsibilities in his life.
To conclude his discussion, Mr. Hansen asked students to get involved to help keep sports and other youth activities going in the future.
This was Mr. Hansen’s third year visiting Mr. Tidick’s classroom. Thank you for speaking with our students!
