Chenango Valley alum Dr. Jessica Hussar visited Mrs. Haskell's EDU 111 class on May 9 to discuss opportunities available in the field of school psychology.
Dr. Hussar spoke with students from EDU 111 (a Chenango Valley High School SUNY Broome Fast Forward college course for those interested in the education field), as well as other Chenango Valley High School students who had expressed a potential interest in a future in school psychology. She currently works in the Owego Apalachin Central School District, and is a New York State Association of School Psychologists (NYASP) Co-Representative.
Dr. Hussar shared a variety of information with students including the training and education that goes into becoming a school psychologist, what school psychologists do and how their work makes a difference in the lives of children and youth.
