Chenango Valley High School students participating in EDU 111: Foundations of American Education had the opportunity to learn insightful information while observing elementary teachers at Port Dickinson and Chenango Bridge Elementary on January 15.
While in the classroom setting, students watched teachers perform lessons throughout an entire school day. Lessons included instruction and activities for subjects such as math, literature and music. The EDU 111 students jotted down notes as they observed different techniques and strategies the educators used while interacting with their classes.
EDU 111 is a SUNY Broome Fast Forward college course taught at Chenango Valley High School by Mrs. Kelly Haskell. The seniors in this course have interest in becoming teachers, school social workers, and/or school psychologists.
Thank you to all who made this educational opportunity possible and have helped to inspire potential future educators!
