A group of Chenango Valley Middle School students recently had the opportunity to attend a Naturalization Ceremony at the Broome County Supreme Courthouse.
On March 27, Principal Attleson and Mrs. Broughton were joined by students, including student council members and eighth grade class officers, to witness the ceremony. The ceremony included over 45 people from more than two dozen countries. Mrs. Carmen Watrous (Rojas-Troutt), a teacher aide at Chenango Valley Middle School, was among those who received their official Certificate of Citizenship. Students were happy to cheer on her exciting accomplishment, and were grateful to be part of this awesome educational experience!
