CV Interact Club Participates in ‘Ramp It Up’ Project

On October 8 and 9, members of the Chenango Valley High School Interact Club helped to build a ramp to improve accessibility to a local household. They also built community connections along the way.

Interact Club members teamed up with the Hillcrest Rotary Club and Broome County Council of Churches’ Faith in Action program for a “Ramp It Up” project at a local household. The ramp will provide easier access to the resident’s home.

"It’s honestly very rewarding to see our finished work and how people respond to it. It feels good to make a difference in the community," said Maddisen Nelson, Interact Club member and Chenango Valley senior. “I feel like any way to give back to a community that has given so much to me is really important."

The Interact Club looks forward to taking part in more projects in the future to help their local community.
