Chenango Valley Participates in ‘The Great Kindness Challenge’
*This page will be updated with more activities!

Chenango Valley students and staff districtwide are excited to participate in "The Great Kindness Challenge" once again! Activities are taking place in each CV school this January. This will be the third year Chenango Valley is participating in this initiative, which goes hand in hand with the district's implementation of the "Positivity Project" ("P2") and the Community Schools program. “The Great Kindness Challenge” includes a checklist of random acts of kindness for students and educators to complete, in hopes that they see the large impact even small kind gestures can make.

Below are some of the activities completed as part of "The Great Kindness Challenge" this school year:

Port Dickinson Elementary
In addition to completing their acts of kindness checklists, students at Port Dickinson Elementary are creating a paperchain with each link expressing a kind act they have recently done or witnessed. Pictured are some of Mrs. Lusht's first grade students with links they created!

CV Middle School
Chenango Valley Middle School has created a “Kindness Wall” to fill the letters “C” and “V” with kind words. We’re looking forward to seeing the wall grow! In addition, middle school students received a bookmark with fun acts of kindness to complete such as telling a teacher how much they appreciate them or sharing a compliment with someone.
