CV High School Wins NYSATA Award

The New York State Arts Teachers Association (NYSATA) has recognized Chenango Valley High School as this year’s Special Citation for School District Award winner! This award acknowledges a significant contribution to art education. The award will be received at a NYSATA conference in November.

In addition, Mr. Wilson received the $500 Raymond C. Henry Award that will go towards his printmaking course!

Special Citations for Member, Non-Member, Institution, or School District Member

Awarded to a member, non-member, institution/corporation, or school district/university that has made a significant contribution to art education. Recipients are presented with a plaque at the annual conference.
Award Recipient 2021- Chenango Valley High School

Criteria-

NYSATA members and Region awards committees are encouraged to consider the following criteria in selecting awardees for Special Citations

1. Outstanding service and contributions to the field of Art Education at the regional, state and/or national level.

2. Advancement of the cause of Art Education through strong advocacy and leadership at the regional, state and/or national level.

3. Outstanding service, support, and/or contribution to NYSATA at the local, state, and/or national level

  

Raymond C. Henry Award
A grant of $500 is awarded annually to a NYSATA member to aid in the development of a specialized art education project or study which will benefit the individual and members of the art education profession.
