Students Use Goal-Setting Strategies for a Good Cause
Mrs. Chavez’s sixth grade health classes used goal-setting strategies to help contribute to a good cause, collectively donating 575 items to the Chenango Valley CHOW Food Pantry!

After successfully using SMART strategies learned in class to collect donations for the district's Holiday Food Drive with her quarter one health homeroom, Mrs. Chavez decided to have her quarter two students take on a similar challenge. The students set a specific and measurable goal, and created a calendar to reach their goal. The first period class (room 211) set a goal of 211 items and ended up collecting 312 items. The second period class set a goal of 250 items and collected 263 items to donate!

What an outstanding job by all! This determination will help many families in our community.
