Congratulations to Chenango Valley High School senior Lucas Hoyt who was recently recognized as an Akshar All-Star!
Lucas was presented with this award via Zoom on April 23. As part of the recognition, he received a T-shirt and a framed certificate from New York State Senator Fred Akshar’s Office.
Lucas was nominated for his leadership, care, and dedication to the Chenango Valley school community. He has worked hard to help to provide student perspective through the district’s reopening subcommittees, including providing feedback on how to help students transition back into in-person learning. Lucas is also part of Principal Ostrander’s student advisory board and a Senior Class officer. In addition, his leadership skills shine in the athletics program where he is noted for showing sportsmanship, teamwork, and inclusion.
As part of his nomination, Lucas was also recognized as prioritizing academics and being a well-rounded individual that embodies the Warrior Spirit.
