“We are so beyond proud of our varsity cheerleading team for competing at the national level for two routines this past weekend! The girls performed a game day routine in the small D2 division and a traditional routine in the medium D2 division. In our game day routine, the girls received their highest score of the season and hit a perfect routine with 0 deductions. In our traditional routine, our girls were able to run through the UCA castle, which was a dream come true. They performed a great routine and showed their true love of this sport. The girls made us very proud as coaches and we are so thankful we were able to give them the opportunity to experience this level of cheerleading and competition and were able to represent our school and section IV with the other teams who attended! We are so grateful for the support we have from our families and parents, cheer club, local businesses, and our community who made it possible to attend this competition! Up next for our team is our run at qualifying for states, starting with our sectionals competition on the 25th!”

Good luck, Warriors!

On December 3, the CV Varsity Cheer team traveled to the Poconos to compete for a bid to participate in the UCA High School Nationals. The team competed twice and received bids for both their game day and traditional routines!

The team will compete in their game day routine in the small varsity division and their traditional routine in the medium varsity division. This will be the fourth time that a team from our program has represented Chenango Valley and Section IV at the national level. It will be the first time our team will compete in two different routines.

The girls have been working towards this goal since August and have made us very proud coaches! We are so excited to continue to grow our skills as a team between now and February, and cannot wait to compete against all the other great teams who attend. Disney here we come!!!”  - Coach Sarah Fernald
