PD Elementary Students Enjoy Ag in the Classroom Opportunities
On May 24, second-grade students met Buttercup, a friendly three-year-old Lionhead rabbit, as part of Ag in the Classroom lessons! Students listened to the story Peter Rabbit, learned facts about rabbits, and even had the chance to pet Buttercup!

Thank you to Broome County Legislator and CV parent Erin Micha for reading Tomatoes for Neela by Padma Lakshmi to Mrs. Mercik’s second-grade class as part of the Cornell Cooperative Extension Ag in the Classroom program on May 2!

In April, Port Dickinson Elementary students were excited to meet a friendly five-week-old lamb, thanks to Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County Ag in the Classroom program!

We love Ag in the Classroom lessons, especially when ice cream is involved! On January 13, kindergarten students learned how ice cream is made, had the chance to help make their own through a fun shaking process, and then tried it out. There were lots of thumbs up for this treat! Thank you to our friends, Ag in the Classroom educators from the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County, for visiting!
