During a unit on early humans -- studying the Stone Age, along with nomads and hunters/gatherers, students found that examining cave art could help them to learn more about nomadic behavior during the Stone Age. The illustrations gave students a better idea of how our ancient ancestors may have perceived the world around them.

Students wrote essays including information such as what cave art was, how people created it, and what types of images were typically included. Students even performed research and created their own cave art pieces to go along with their essays!
