Shortly before spring recess, the semi-new electric pencil sharpener in Mrs. Smith’s fourth grade class stopped working. Mrs. Smith knew that her student Jackson has a passion for working on small motors/engines with his father. She asked his parents if this would be something he would like to help out with, and they said he would love to! During the spring recess, Jackson and his father used their skills to fix the sharpener. After break, Jackson brought back a working sharpener along with a full report of the device! This kind act was truly “on point”, and Mrs. Smith and Jackson’s classmates were very thankful!
