Thank you to the local nonprofit Watch Us Change Us for helping to make a positive impact and supporting local children this holiday season, including more than a dozen Chenango Valley students.
Watch Us Change Us was founded by Mr. Kashif Summers with the goal of supporting community youth. The group is currently working in partnership with Molina Healthcare and Mix 103.3 to sponsor a holiday gift drive called “Watch Us Change Us Crazy Christmas Drive” for 100 children in our area.
The Chenango Valley Central School District learned about the gift drive through the Binghamton University Community Schools program. Mr. Summers is also a Community Schools Coordinator with the Union-Endicott Central School District. Chenango Valley Community Schools Co-Coordinator Mrs. Johanna Hickey reached out as soon as she heard about it. In response, the drive will provide gifts to 13 Chenango Valley students. We are so grateful for this community partnership and this wonderful opportunity for our students!
