On February 23, CV Middle School students put handmade cardboard boats to the test in the CV Middle School/High School pool. There was lots of fun and a whole lot of creativity on display during the school’s annual Cardboard Boat Races!
Students saw if their boats could carry at least one person the length of the pool and back. To prepare, they studied the basics of boat construction and physics. Working in teams, students built their colorful boats and paddles using cardboard and duct tape. Whether boats made it all the way across or not, these students should certainly be proud of their hard work!
Overall Winners:
Most Creative Boat - Chubby Unicorns
Most School Spirit - Argo III
Fastest Time - BBQ 2.0 (1 min and 1 second)
