Broome County's Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC) program partners with school districts across Broome, Cortland, and Tioga counties to bring agriculture into the classroom. AITC creates lessons that connect to subjects including language arts, math, science, and social studies, all while aligning with New York State and National Common Core standards. Supported by Cornell Cooperative Extension, these lessons cover topics such as food, conservation, and farming, and are adaptable for different grade levels, thanks to AITC's dedicated educators.
