The DEI/Community School Advisory Committee, which includes individuals such as students, families, administrators, educators, student support professionals, board members, and community members, met on November 18 to continue work on an eight-step Assets and Needs Assessment for the 2024-25 school year.
The latest meeting focused on attendance data, policies, and students’ perceptions of school climate. This process aims to gather diverse insights and feedback to guide decisions about community school programming and operations.
By identifying strengths and challenges from diverse perspectives, the committee aims to foster meaningful partnerships and create opportunities that support all students and families. This assessment will guide ongoing efforts to shape an inclusive, supportive environment that meets the needs of the entire district.
