Good morning, High School Families!
I hope everyone has had a smooth transition back to school. I have to say, the first 2 days have been wonderful! It's great to see the students all together!!!
Just a few reminders as we enter the first full week of school:
1. If you did not complete the monthly health screening, please do so ASAP. The link can be found on our website:
https://www.cvcsd.stier.org/StudentHealthScreeningQuestionnaire1.aspx2. High school pictures are this week. They will be during your child's PE class on September 15th/16th. Your child should have received a flyer in homeroom. If you are in need of a flyer, we have extras in the main office. If your child is unable to participate in picture days, we will have make-ups in early November. When you are filling out the form and it asks for your child's teacher, please put your child's HOMEROOM teacher.
3. High School open house is on Monday, September 27th at 6 p.m. Please consider stopping by to see your child's teachers--we welcome you!
4. In addition to Open House on September 27th, we will also be hosting a Career Night from 6-8 p.m. at CV High School. Feel free to stop by if you or your child are looking for full or part time employment. This career night is sponsored by the Greater Binghamton Educational Outreach Program (GBEOP). 6. Don't forget Warrior Wear Fridays--show off your CV spirit by wearing Warrior Gear on Fridays! If you don't have any Warrior Gear, please reach out to me or your child's school counselor and we will find them some!
7. If your child is quarantined, they must zoom into their classes for daily attendance. It's important that they continue to receive their daily instruction by zooming into their classes. Only students on quarantine will be permitted to zoom. If your child is home sick, has an appointment, or misses school for other reasons they are not able to zoom. they can make up their work when they return to school. You can always arrange for work to be picked up by reaching out to your child's school counselor, or your child can message their teachers through Schoology or email at any time.
I want to thank you all for your help with the smooth opening to school--your support is greatly appreciated!
As always, please reach out with any questions you may have.
Thank you!
Jennifer Ostrander
