Hello to our Port Dickinson families and students!

We have had an absolutely fabulous stretch of weather with sunshine and warm temperatures. Despite the rain this afternoon, we all have to be happy that summer is getting closer.

We have some very busy weeks ahead, between now and the last day of school for the 2021-2022 school year. We ask that you and your family follow the updates on the CV website, information shared by me, and communication from your child's teacher via Seesaw.

Please note the following information and dates. There may always be some adjustments that need to be made, given situations that arise. Please be patient and understanding as well as taking time to call us if you have any questions.

**You should be receiving an envelope from CV with a 2 page letter/document from our Transportation Department. Please fill out the form and return it to school no later than May 31, 2022. It is necessary that we receive communication from every family about their transportation needs for the 2022-2023 school year. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

**The 2021-2022 school year will conclude for students in grades Pre--K through 8 on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Please note that the last three days of school are scheduled as half (1/2) days. These 1/2 days are Tuesday, June 21, 2022; Wednesday, June 22, 2022; and Thursday, June 23, 2022.

**Memorial Day Recess will take place from Friday, May 27 - Monday, May 30. School will be back in session on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

**There is no school for students at CV on Monday, June 20, 2022, as Juneteenth is observed.

** There will be communication sent home soon regarding our upcoming school-sponsored field trips.  Each grade level will be taking a trip in June, with our faculty/staff accompanying our kids to and from the venue.

**Our Budget Vote and School Board Elections will be taking place from 12-8 PM at the CV Middle School/High School Auditorium on Tuesday, 5/17/2022.

**Our next Board of Education Meeting will be taking place on Wednesday, 5/18/2022, in Warrior B/C at 7:00 PM.

We have so much learning to still do during the last weeks of this awesome school year. Please know that each day is important for your child's attendance record. We look forward to their smiling faces each and every day. Stay healthy!
