Message from Principal Hammond (2-25-2022)

Hello to everyone,

I hope that you are enjoying today's snow day and that everyone is staying warm.
It was terrific to see some of you at last evening's STEAM night. This event is always so much fun!

As always, our school and school district is filled with many events and information to share.
Please take some time to look at the following information:

  • Our annual "Penguin Hop" for our Pre-Kindergarten families has been rescheduled, due to our snow day today.  It will take place next Friday, March 4, 2022. Our teachers, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. DeVincentiis, and Mrs. Blewett will share with you the specific times for each of our classes.  Hopefully, the weather will cooperate with us.

  • Our Elementary Yearbooks are on sale currently. You can check our website https://www.cvcsd.stier.org/Yearbooks.aspx for further information.  All orders need to be placed by 4/25/2022. This yearbook includes all students in grades Pre-K through 5.

  • Please come to our next Chenango Valley Elementary PTA meeting on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 @ 6:00 PM in the Port Dickinson Elementary Library. We would love to hear your ideas!

  • Our annual theater production will be taking place on Friday, 3/4/2022; Saturday, 3/5/2022, and Sunday, 3/6/2022. Showtimes are 7:00 PM for the shows on Friday and Saturday. The showtime for Sunday is 2:00 PM. This year's show is "Seussical" and it is happening at the perfect time. Next week, on March 2, 2022 is Dr. Seuss' birthday. I am sure your kids will be talking about the stories and activities they will be doing in school next week.

  • Our Superintendent's Conference Day will be taking place on Friday, March 11, 2022. Please plan accordingly, as school is closed for students in grades Pre-K-12.

  • Another terrific family event will be taking place on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 6-8 PM. It is our annual "Community Night".  Please keep watching on the website for more details to come.
Wishing all of you an awesome weekend ahead! Stay healthy and safe!
Thank you very much for your continued support of our terrific school and community.
-Mrs. Hammond
