Warrior Academy 2017

Warrior Academy 2017, a free strength and conditioning camp for Chenango Valley students in grades seven through 12, began on Monday, July 10, at the Chenango Valley High School.

The camp ran until August 10 and included week-by-week training to help improve strength, conditioning, flexibility and agility for all sports. 

Week 1: Orientation

Week 2: Body (Nutrition/Sleep/Recovery)

Week 3: Mind (Mental Imagery/Sports Psychology)

Week 4: Leadership (Captains/Active Participation)

Week 5: Next Steps

Students could participate in either a 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. or 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. session.  The camp also included tips from a UHS Athletic Trainer and UHS Human Performance Trainer.

About 50 students participated in the program this summer.  On August 10, students saw the growth from all of their hard work as they took part in post-testing.
