Members of the Hillcrest Rotary presented each Port Dickinson Pre-K student with the book "How Rocket Learned to Read" as part of a reading initiative in partnership with SUNY Broome's Center for Civic Engagement.
Students are encouraged to read the book over the summer. When they enter Kindergarten, their new teachers will have a copy of the book and read it to them.
Many students were eager to start reading their new books right away!
