What is the difference between a fixed and growth mindset? Chenango Valley teachers and teaching assistants explored this topic at a "Warrior Learners" workshop on November 28.
The workshop "Mindset: The Power of Belief" was led by Chenango Valley Assistant Superintendent Michelle Feyerabend. The focus was on how mindset affects both teaching and learning. The workshop discussed topics such as ways to work with students to help them reach their full potential, how educators can stretch their thinking to work best with challenging children, and ways to work towards a growth mindset to help develop skills. Those who attended also reviewed text from Carol Dweck's book "Mindset: The New Psychology of Success."
