CV Teacher's "Visions Loves Educators" Proposal Accepted

In the beginning of the school year, Visions Federal Credit Union offered teachers in Chenango Valley (and other area school districts) the opportunity to submit a proposal through a classroom program called “Visions Loves Educators.”

This program allowed teachers to submit a proposal for classroom materials and equipment. In the proposal, they were asked to explain how it could help them with educational projects and benefit their classrooms.

Chenango Valley High School social studies teacher Mr. David Tidick thought this was a great opportunity. He submitted a proposal for an Amazon Echo (2nd Generation) featuring a smart speaker with “Alexa” for his classroom.

On May 3, Mr. Tidick received a letter from Visions FCU that his proposal was accepted, along with a check to purchase the device. Mr. Tidick said the Amazon Echo will be useful in his social studies classes during teaching lessons, by providing instant feedback to help answer a wide variety of historical questions.

“This is a wonderful program that Visions offers,” Tidick said, “We are excited about it.”
