Student-Driven Art Project to Promote Kindness
Chenango Valley Middle School students are using art to develop a message of compassion.

On April 23, representatives from each of Mrs. Vesci's sixth grade social studies classes presented the plan for their grade level’s student-driven P.O.K.K. (Power of Kids’ Kindness) Project in front of members of the CV Board of Education, administration, and district social workers.

This project will include the creation of a 6’x8’ multi-media art installation in the design of a puzzle. Every sixth grade student will contribute a “piece” containing a positive message to help complete it. The goal is to promote kindness, peace, and acceptance.

On May 24, Mr. Cass took an amazing P.O.K.K. photo of students spelling out "KIND" on the football field. He used a drone to capture the image.
