Educational Fun Continues in CV Summer Programs
Many exciting happenings took place in Chenango Valley Summer Programs during the week of July 16-20! The following are just some of those activities:

CV Elementary Summer STEAM participants truly dived into the topic of nature as they enjoyed a beautiful day at Chenango Valley State Park on July 19! During the week, students also took part in activities including pressing plants, figuring out ways to help animals, and making flowers out of multi-media art supplies.

Chenango Valley Middle School and High School students are among students from around the area who've had a great first week at the BOCES Summer STEAM Academy! At the BOCES campus, middle school participants worked on exciting robotics activities including programming for an obstacle course, Indie 500 programming, and other exciting challenges to test their skills and knowledge! At SUNY Broome, high school students took part in activities including developing designs for a cardboard boat race held in the Chenango Valley High School pool, and a carnival event that students themselves created the games for (including mini golf and puppets)!

Next week, the groups will switch campuses and the middle school students will engage in activities at SUNY Broome, while the high school students will test their skills at the BOCES campus.

The first week of the CV Summer Arts Program wrapped up with some truly inspiring mosaic designs.  The mosaic pieces each include different quotes such as “Just because my path is different doesn't mean that I am lost." paired with beautiful images relating to their messages. The goal of these pieces is to encourage positivity and kindness in a creative manner.

Next week, the group will continue work on an exciting and inspiring presentation!
