STEAM Club students created a Warrior built entirely from canned goods as their entry in the region's annual "Canstruction" competition at the Oakdale Mall. The CV team was sponsored by Weis Markets. Canned goods used in the competition will be donated to CHOW and the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. See photos. [ for more]

Mrs. Henyan's Fast-Forward French class learned about several famous French individuals as each student gave a presentation to their classmates. Learning about famous artists, chefs and more led to some fun in the classroom!  See photos/video.

Congratulations to CVHS junior Megan Proutey, who was awarded the National Gold Medal in the 2017 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for her painting entitled "Teeth."  Megan, her art teacher Mr. Zanot and her guests are invited to a ceremony in June at Carnegie Hall. MS students and staff had a bit of fun Friday after the state assessments had been completed.  The school held a "Minute to Win It" Pep Rally in the CV auditorium.  See photos.

The BCK-IBI Group will be hosting a viewing of the documentary film, Most Likely to Succeed. The film takes a look at traditional public education and possibilities for innovation. The screening will be on Wednesday, April 5, at 6 p.m. in the UE High School Auditorium.  All are invited, and it is free of charge. More details.

NYS Senator Fred Akshar was a special guest judge at the recent Poetry Recitation at Chenango Bridge Elementary. Before the event got underway, the senator worked his way through the crowd of students, exchanging fist-bumps, high-fives and handshakes.  See photos.
