Mrs. Henyan's Fast Forward (college-level) French class enjoyed a hands-on lesson in impressionist painting as part of student Elizabeth Selby's presentation on the artist Claude Monet.
As a project assignment, each student selected a famous French person as a topic for an in-class presentation. The students conducted researched on the person and then presented a lesson about them while speaking only in French. Props -- and even a French pastry to share with classmates -- enhanced the students' presentations.
