The Chenango Valley School District has a nine-member Board of Education that meets on the third Wednesday of each month in the Middle School Cafeteria, 221 Chenango Bridge Road, Binghamton, NY 13901. The Executive Session of the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.; the Regular Session begins at 7 p.m.
The Primary function of the Board of Education is to formulate broad educational policies in harmony with state laws for schools. Among many other responsibilities, the Chenango Valley Board of Education approves and adopts the annual school budget before it is presented to the voters; approves financial reports such as the monthly Clerk report; approves all job appointments and resignations; approves all bids; approves all special education placements; and establishes policies such as Use of District Facilities Policy, the Student and Employee Anti-Harassment Policy and the Computer Usage and Guidelines Policy.
