Publicize Students' Accomplishments
Parents needed to publicize students' accomplishments

The Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin is instituting a new schools page that will run every week.  They hope to be able to publish an article from each area school district each week.  The page will consist of three different sections: two on student accomplishments and one on school programs.  The two on accomplishments are described below.

If you have a child that has done something that would fit one of the categories, please fill out the information on the form and submit. Reminder:  We cannot guarantee that the newspaper will run every article we send in or tell you what week it will run.

Short Articles on Student Accomplishments - Open to All Grade Levels

These are two to three paragraph articles on student accomplishments.  The accomplishments don't necessarily have to be school-related.  For example, a student is made an Eagle Scout or runs a lemonade stand and gives the money to charity.  Too, this is not just open to academic "stars." I will take a head shot of the student, interview him or her for more details, and get a quote.  If you are unsure if something would qualify, send it to me anyway.

Longer Articles on Student Accomplishments - Open to Middle and High School Students

These are longer articles than above but still about student accomplishments.  This section replaces the "Class Act" that used to run in the newspaper.  We're looking for students who "stand out" - personally, academically, etc.  The articles will be in question and answer format and a reporter from the Press and Sun will interview the student.  A photo of the student will be included in the article.
